Dr. Travis
J. DowDell
Dr. DowDell is
from Placentia, California. After attending El Dorado High School in
Southern California, he entered Brigham Young University on a Baseball
scholarship.
After finishing
his undergraduate studies in Human Biology, he attended Palmer College
of Chiropractic in San Jose,Ca. Dr. DowDell has spent years studying
the clinical effects of intensive restorative exercise for chronic low
back pain patients. Starting his career, he has elected to narrow his
focus and specialize in the treatment of acute and chronic spinal pathology.
His practice is centered around the restoration of musculoskeletal function
using aggressive isolated spinal rehabilitation exercises.
Dr. DowDell’s
postgraduate studies in exercise science and spinal rehabilitation were
completed at the University of Florida School of Medicine and College
of Human Performance. He finished his postceptorship training with Dr.
Nicholas Athens, team physician for the San Francisco 49ers, in 2001.
Dr. DowDell is
also an Independent Medical Examiner (I.M.E.) for various Insurance
companies. Dr. DowDell is a member of the National Association of Chiropractic
Medicine (NACM).
In his spare time
Dr. DowDell loves to travel, golf, play tennis, basketball and ski.
He and his wife, Rebecca, have two children.
